Data shows that the covid-19 pandemic has widened the gap for disadvantaged pupils in schools across England. This course will highlight what governors can do to make a difference for disadvantaged pupils, through joined-up policy setting, careful evaluation of pupil and recovery premium spending, and best practice ideas for holding senior leaders to account, supporting staff, and engaging with parents.
Essential InformationThis session will provide opportunities for Year 2 Teachers to assess a child's work for reading, writing and mathematics.
Please bring along samples of writing (literacy and cross curricular examples), mathematics work, reading records and books recently read independently. Children's work should have been moderated in advice.
Teachers will be provided with the opportunity to confirm their judgements with colleagues, supported by discussion, questioning and comparison against the KS1 teacher assessment frameworks.
