RE is an exciting, engaging and dynamic subject but one that some teachers often find challenging.
This meeting is the first in a series designed to offer help, advice and support for those responsible for manging and/or teaching RE in schools in the London Borough of Hounslow. Through this network, there will also be opportunities to celebrate and share existing good practice, find out about relevant events and resources (both locally and nationally) and time to focus on the key questions and concerns of the members themselves in collaboration with the course leader.
The statutory syllabus for RE in the LB of Hounslow is currently under review and these sessions will also be designed to enable participants to contribute to this process and shape the future of the subject in the years to come.
This initial session will explore in particular some of the main aspects of the role of the Subject Leader for RE with an emphasis on ensuring that all the relevant documentation is in place in your school.
The second session will be run on the 3rd December 2020.
